What is perishable?

Perishable a term meaning that if a product or service is not sold in a given time (a day, a night, a week) that product cannot later be sold.

An example is an airline seat. Once the plane takes off, the seat cannot be stored for sale later.

Another example is a hotel room. Once the evening has passed, the room cannot be sold for that day.
